EMPLOYMENT ORIENTATION SERVICE The DOWN GALICIA EMPLOYMENT ORIENTATION SERVICE is a collaborating center of the Galician Public Employment Service (SPEG). It is located at the Down Galicia headquarters in Santiago, Vigo and Ourense and travels to different points in Galicia. It is made up of 3 counselors, one for the North zone (A Coruña, Santiago and Ferrol), another for the South zone (Pontevedra and Vigo) and another for the East zone (Ourense, Lugo and Monforte). It is also coordinated by the Supported Employment Service of Down Galicia member entities.
What we offer? JOBSEEKERS Information and advice: public recruitment lists, key skills, professional certificates, training and job offers, etc. individualized interviews Personalized Insertion Itineraries (IPI) Modification of CV in the application of the Public Employment Service Requests for AFD courses, employment workshops, etc. Curriculum vitae design and professional profile job orientation Individualized support for active job search and resource management (email, sending CVs to offers, etc.) Training in different fields (job search techniques, socio-labor skills, etc.) Group guidance actions in which we work on personal and professional self-knowledge, attitudes and behaviors in the work environment, job search techniques, labor regulations, etc. BUSINESS Prospecting and intermediation Employment exchange Analysis of jobs and profile of candidates Adaptation to the job Staff pick Information on bonuses, reduction of Social Security contributions, subsidies, etc.
Who are we addressing? Jobseekers with Down syndrome, and intellectual disability in general, over 16 years of age. Direct family members of job seekers Companies and public and private entities Other agents involved in the labor market (Social Services, Educational Centers, etc.) What is our goal? Improving the employability of people with disabilities Facilitate incorporation into the labor market Participation of people with disabilities in the training offer Socio-labour inclusion of women and men with disabilities Inclusion of women and men with disabilities in the public employment pool
